Time to play this game again. Here's a link to the "Top 100 Songs of 1967", whatever that means. List your favorite five in comments. Hard to believe it's been 40 years...

The 34th Annual Sacramento Jazz Jubilee happens in a couple of weeks, May 25th through 28th. When I used to live in Sacramento, my Dad and his wife used to come up to it every year and we'd go out to dinner one night with their gang to the Golden Tee Restaurant, which is now, sadly and apparently, gone.
The festival seems to have changed quite a bit - gone a bit more generic. It used to be the Sacramento Dixieland Jazz Jubilee, but even in the 1980s, relatively early in its history, it had much more jazzish music than just Dixieland. It also used to cost a lot less for a Jubilee or daily pass. Anyways, it's a bit surprising, I don't even see the word "Dixieland" on the web site. That has been scrubbed away. But, old records still show the original name.
My Dad always liked Igor's Jazz Cowboys, which is what they are known today, although they were Igor's something else back in the day. I've never heard them but my Dad's Bakersfield gang always seemed to make a point of seeing their act while at the Jubilee.
