Holiday Sales

Does Memorial Day provide any kind of spike in sales of music? Do any of these albums have a slight bump in late May because of the holiday?

An Exercise In The Use of Google

Just curious as to search results and ads generated by Google. So, hello Burger King!

ARMORED SAINT/ex-ANTHRAX singer John Bush recently did some voicover work for Burger King...

Many company websites, viral or otherwise, feature some sort of advergame and Burger King recently took the concept to the next level by launching a successful campaign with three advergame-type titles of their own for Xbox/Xbox 360.

At least 25 new Burger King fast food restaurants will be built in Poland in the next five years.

Investigators are looking for what started a fire that damaged a Burger King in southeast Wichita.

At virtual world Neopets, for example, kids feed their virtual pet ice cream, jellies, and baked goods. And on MySpace, Burger King's mascot has 150,000 "friends."

Stealin' Copper

Sure seems like it happens a lot these days:

Ohio: About 1,000 feet of copper wire was stolen from a business on North Watt Street, 8:07 a.m. Monday.

Washington: Nighttime youth baseball games at the SERA Sports Complex in South Tacoma have been canceled this week after thieves ripped out copper wiring and left two of the six fields without power.

Hawaii: Thieves stripped a Sprint cellular phone tower of its copper on the campus of Mililani High School.

Michigan: Thieves have been targeting air conditioning units for copper coils worth about $2.60 a pound at local scrap yards. But victims of such thefts say thieves are ruining expensive cooling units just to get about $30 worth of copper.

China: Shanghai has reported a dramatic rise in thefts of copper water meters, newspapers said Tuesday, in the latest sign that China's racing economy is spurring voracious demand for metals and other commodities.

Interesting read on the growth of metal theft and what people and police can do to reduce it.
